Food was great! Nice greasy spoon classic dishes. I had a breakfast quesadilla and also at the table was a classic eggs breakfast combo and biscuits and gravy. All good. The place is a bit loud and parking is a challenge due to the odd shaped block the restaurant is on. Other than that, a spot on brunch spot.

The Toasted Rooster is a a classic breakfast and lunch local diner with a farm-house atmosphere, a touch of whimsy, and a bunch of specialty mimosas. We showed up near the end of the day, (they close at 3:30) in search of some breakfast and the best BLT in Sacramento. My wife got a classic American breakfast, I went for the BLT. And a fun " desert style" mimosa call "The lucky Charm" that was a cocktail based on the iconic cereal. THE PROS: The BLT was strong. A lot of bacon plus a bacon aoli. The breakfast was pretty standard, but the pancake was fluffy and tasty, and there was a large plate of hash browns. THE CONS: There were a few missteps, but nothing that would be a deal breaker. The coffee had been on the burner too long, but even tho it was late on their day, they made a fresh pot for me, and the flavor was wonderful. In fact, they gave us a to-go cup just because we were the last customers of the day, and it seemed a shame to waste it. The only real "con" was that things needed a good cleaning. Not that I thought my food was tainted, and the staff wiped down counters , etc well. It was the condiment bottles, salt shakers, window sills, bathrooms and the like. To be fair, we were the last people before closing on a Saturday, so I get that things can't all be done at once. But with a bit more spic and span, I would say they are a 5-star local diner. BOTTOM LINE: Yes I will go again. Food wise, we was very satisfied. Staff was absolutely upbeat and had a great vibe. 7.5/10

Lots of desirable food selection to choose from. Kitchen team did a job well done on food preparation, speed of delivery, and quality of taste. The cafe team was very, very welcoming and nice. Great customer service and attentive to their customers. The atmosphere is very nice: love the country theme.

So freaking good my whole family was way impressed. Also the orange soda is freaking bomb it's like an orange hibiscus soda. It was a bit loud in there but other than that Top notch!

I had blueberry pancakes, potatoes, sausage, and bacon for my breakfast. For my beverage, I enjoyed a nice glass of guava passion fruit. The pancakes were amazing, and the eggs, bacon, and sausage were respectively flavorful and delicious. I also had a nice cappuccino once I finished my yummy breakfast.

Pretty solid brunch spot in Sac! I had the farmhouse scramble and it's an all-around great entree especially given the price. Fluffy scrambled eggs with the right portion of ham, bacon, and sausage pieces. Not overly greasy at all. I chose hash browns as my potato option; kinda wished the hash browns had more crisp to them but that's a nitpick. Highly recommend the rye bread option as it has a delicious slight spice taste from fennel seeds to complement the rye taste. Beautifully toasted. Social and energetic waitress was definitely carrying the cozy community vibes here. I arrived here on a weekday early afternoon and was seated promptly. I can see this place being wildly busy on weekends though (be mindful on limited parking lot space as well)!

Oh. My. God. This place is so good it should be illegal. I was really skeptical seeing their prices but it's soooo worth it. My husband got the loaded fries (they discontinued the Philly cheese steak so the website isn't accurate ). It was a very good decision. It's big enough to be an entree or shareable with your table. We got a side of ranch and the ranch is crazy good, for you ranch obsessed people out there. I got the egg-scavator and it was so good. It's like a BLT but a salad. I got the eggs on the side cause it didn't sound appealing to have eggs on a BLT salad but to each their own! I bet it's so good! For drinks we got a bloody Mary and a champagne and berries Mimosa. The bloody Mary, with the pepperocci juice pour in from the pepper on top, is top tier. Very yummy. And the mimosa is straight up champagne with berries and very good. Very large in a small glass bigger than most places you'd go, like three times the size of a flute. The bloody Mary comes in two sizes, you can get a giant stein for 5 bucks more than the "small" aka a regular sized bloody Mary for 10 bucks. The wait staff is friendly, it's a seat yourself kind of environment. Really laid back and not overly rushed. But this place is usually PACKED. So get here while you can or make a reservation. Definitely a good brunch place for mimosas and food. Try this next time you are on the Arden area.

Cozy vibes and delicious food. The place is not huge and it's like giving small town dinner where everyone knows each other. And the friendly service definitely adds on to that vibe~ There are lot to choose from on the menu. It's mostly comfort dinner food but made very well. They have very funny whimsical names too I love it. I got the veggie omelette plate. I love that for choice of potatoes I get to choice tots. They are so crispy so good. The omelette is nicely seasoned but adding a little hot sauce levels it up~ I chose wheat toast for my chose of bread but you can also go for other options like English muffins. The place has a decent size parking lot so you don't have to worry about parking. I enjoyed my food here and definitely wanna come back for more~

I stopped into Toasted Rooster Cafe around 1pm on a Friday with a friend and we were excited to try it out after hearing so many great things. It is pretty unassuming from the outside, but has a decent sized designated parking lot for the area. We were greeted immediately and got a booth by the window. I ordered the Hen's Party Combo ($12.50) that comes with farm style gravy over crisp biscuits, eggs and potatoes- I chose poached eggs and hashbrowns. I also added a side of Jumbo Sausages ($5.25 for three links). My friend ordered the Veggie Omelette ($15.75) and chose tater tots and wheat toast to go with it. They do note on the menu that everything is made to order in their tiny kitchen, so wait times can be longer. We were there at a less busy time, so it didn't take too long and we felt well taken care of by the server. Once the food arrived we took some photos and were happy to see a variety of condiments already on the table like ketchup, hot sauce, jam, syrup and more. The food was flavorful and fresh and we both took leftovers home with us. On our walk in we did notice they use Yelp Waitlist and I'm sure it comes in handy during busy breakfast and brunch rushes. I would definitely go back again.
